Job Opening: Traffic Count Aide

Job Opportunity SmallThe Mid-Region Council of Governments seeks a part-time Traffic Count Aide (20 HR/WK), working on Sundays, Wednesdays and Thursdays with some flexibility in work schedule.

Responsibilities: Major duties include programming, setting, and removing traffic counting machines and equipment, loading, unloading, and restocking equipment (counters, nails, rubber tubes, etc.) and other physical labor. Responsibilities also include properly setting-up a short-duration highway work zone and following safety rules, periodic maintenance and upkeep of vehicle as needed. Must be able to work collaboratively under the direction of the Senior Traffic Count Technician. Willingness to work outdoors in all weather is required and be physically able to lift and carry moderately heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs.). Must have a valid New Mexico driver’s license, and a clean driving record. Company vehicle used for working hours.
