Regional Transit District
The Mid-Region Transit District is established according to the requirements of New Mexico’s “Regional Transit District Act”, Chapter 73, Article 25, NMSA 1978. Several reasons for forming the district are to serve the public by providing for the creation of a regional network of safe and efficient public transportation services; and to provide residents with a choice of transportation alternatives so that seniors, youth, low-income and mobility-impaired residents and others unable to drive or afford motor vehicles continue to have full access to the goods, services, jobs and activities of the community.
