Ride the New Mexico Rail Runner Express and use the “Buddy Plan” to get two-for-one admission at the NM State Fair Fair Deal Bargain Book offers savings when two people ride the train!
(Albuquerque “This is another way that state agencies can partner to offer New Mexico families an opportunity to enjoy New Mexico events”, says Lawrence Rael, Executive Director for the Mid-Region Council of Governments. “ The coupon for the two-for-one admission is part of a new Bargain Book that the New Mexico State Fair has put out called “Fair Deal”. Much like the popular Entertainment Coupon Books that are sold throughout the state as fundraisers, the Fair Deal Book is chock full of savings coupons to be used at or in conjunction with this year’s State Fair. “We’re doing everything we can to make the Fair affordable and family-friendly,” says State Fair General Manager Craig Swagerty. “We encourage everyone who comes to the Fair this year to purchase a coupon book – the $5 they spend will pay for itself the first time they use a coupon – especially one like the Rail Runner coupon which will save them $7.” The Fair Deal coupon books are available at State Fair Box Ticket offices for $5, and at the EXPO New Mexico Administration Office. Those wanting to use the train to get to the State Fair can ride to the Downtown Albuquerque Rail Runner Station and catch any number of ABQ Ride Rapid Ride buses that will take passengers directly up Central Avenue to the Fairgrounds.
