“We want to give people an opportunity to adjust
their routines before the schedule changes”, says Lawrence Rael,
Executive Director of the Mid-Region Council of Governments. In most
cases, the schedule changes will be minor, but if you’re a commuter,
you usually have a pretty tight routine in the morning, so hopefully
getting the schedule out in advance will give them time to prepare”.
The New Mexico Rail Runner
Express has carried more than two-million passengers in the three
years since it began service. The Rail Runner holds the record for
being the fastest start-up of a commuter train service in the nation.
