NOW OPEN!
The Kewa Pueblo Station (previously Santo
Domingo Pueblo) is located near the ancient Cerrillos
turquoise mines and its people have an entrenched history of
making fine jewelry and heishi out of the colorful
stones. The Kewa people historically are great traders of
their crafts, very much like their Mesa Verde and Chaco
Canyon ancestors.
Bus Connections
The Rio Metro Regional Transit District will provide a bus
connection on the Sandoval Easy Express Route 22. This
bus route will connect to Kewa Pueblo, Cochiti Pueblo, Santa
Ana Pueblo, Pena Blanca, Algodones and Bernalillo. This new
route will begin on March 22 and the schedule will be posted
here soon.

The symbol for the
Kewa station is the old Trading Post.
This iconic landmark was the most
recognized building on the Native American
landscape during the 1950’s and 1960’s.
The Trading Post provided local artisans
a venue to display their arts and crafts.
In the future, pueblo leaders would like
to return the Trading Post to its original
splendor.
